Prerequisites both undergraduate and graduate students as well as practicing professionals are eligible for this course; undergraduate students should have completed foundation subjects in Education or a related field; graduate students should have successfully completed a degree in the above areas or be currently pursuing a degree in a related field; practicing professionals should be working in the field of education.

APPLICATION

Location
The unique experiential learning program allows you to experience it all while learning a great amount about the Australian education system. This knowledge will undoubtedly be useful in your career! The program begins in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia's only subtropical Capital City. Brisbane is a modern, vibrant city, a great place to examine the practical ways in which the needs of non-standard education issues are met in Australia.

Course and Credits Information
The program grants 3 credits from the University of Colorado at Denver.

The special education topics will include:

Physical and intellectual disadvantaged children
* Non-English speaking immigrants
* Children and adults living in remote, isolated communities
* Indigenous Australians
* Gifted children
The course promises to be a wonderful opportunity for students to benefit from the successful educational practices and the spectacular environment in Australia

Accommodation
All accommodation is provided and is based on twin and triple share.

Transportation
Students make their own flight arrangements. Airfare may range from $1,000 to $1,500 per round trip ticket from Denver to Brisbane.

Program costs
$3,050 including lectures, field trips, accommodation and most meals during the tour. Not included: international airfare.
