Location
The UCD exchange institution, the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) is located in one of the oldest and largest cities in Australia with an approximate population of more than 4 million. Sydney is both a safe and vibrant city with many beaches, parks, theatres, art galleries, music venues, and the world famous Sydney Opera House. The moderate climate allows for many great opportunities to participate in a multitude of outdoor activities from bushwalking in the nearby national parks to surfing at Sydney's famous beaches to sailing in the crystal blue waters of the harbor. Sydney is a multicultural city with numerous festivals and ethnic restaurants. The school is an integral and dynamic part of the city, being one of Australia's largest and most respected universities. Studying at the University of Technology, Sydney provides an opportunity to combine a quality education with the excitement of living in a fascinating city and culture.

Course and Credits Information
The University of Technology, Sydney, with an approximate undergraduate population of 16,700 and an approximate graduate population of 7,000, offers more than 80 undergraduate and 200 graduate courses on one of its three campuses. Subject areas in which undergraduate and postgraduate coursework is offered include: Business; Design, Architecture and Building; Education; Engineering; Humanities; Information Technology; Law; Nursing, Midwifery and Health; Science; and Social Sciences. Many courses include Australian content such as: Aboriginal Cultures and Philosophies; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art and Culture; and Australia in the World. The Institute for International Studies at UTS also offers many language and culture courses in a range of subjects focusing on contemporary societies all over the world. UTS is also a school that has significant ties to the business community, emphasizes a professional orientation in many of its courses and has a strong international focus with a multicultural staff and student population.

Accommodation
Approximately $2,400 per semester Meals: Approximately $900 per semester

Students may apply for university student upon acceptance to UTS. Acceptance to university housing is contingent upon availability. Temporary accommodations can also be arranged for newly arriving international students through the UTS University Housing Service. Applications and information for both types of housing can be obtained at the University of Colorado at Denver's Office of International Education. Transportation
Students make their own flight arrangements. Airfare may range from $1,000 to $1,500 per round trip ticket from Denver to Sydney. Approximately $1,200 per semester (includes air fare) Personal Expenses: Approximately $1,5 00 per semester

Program costs
Students pay their tuition ($1,900) to CU-Denver and living expenses on site in Australia. The following are the estimates for some of the expenses students will incur: Books: Approximately $200 per semester

Insurance
Approximately $274 per semester (International students are required by the Australian government to have 'Overseas Student Health Insurance')
